Samaritans is a charity providing support to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope or at risk of suicide throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland through its telephone helpline. The organisation was the first of its kind in the world and was formed in 1953. I am a Listening Volunteer taking calls.
